This hotel is conveniently located in the central Kuta area, where you have decent accessibility to the beach, restaurants, and Starbucks. From the airport to this hotel, it takes about 20 minutes by a pre-paid airport taxi, which generally charges you reasonable 70,000 IDR (US$5.00) to 90,000 IDR. Unlike most Holiday Inn properties in the United States, staff here is very friendly and willing to help your stay from the check-in to until your departure. Rooms are well equipped and clean. Complementary drinking water is served in a room though you can still grab any bottles of drinks nearby convenience stores 24/7. Breakfast is also complimentary downstairs right next to a reception desk while the selection of breakfast is far better than what you may experience in the United States.
One Queen Bed Standard Room at Holiday Inn Express Kuta Bali Square. Not only is the room clean and well equipped, but the lobby and breakfast venue are also modern while the staff is attentive.
The room rates vary depending on supply and demand but it only cost me non-refundable US$40 per night despite I booked the hotel room about a week in advance. Best Available refundable rates also begin around US$50. With such reasonable prices, you have decent accessibility to everywhere in Kuta area. In fact, I believe you can get to the hotel from the airport about one hour or so through residential streets or the beach side while enjoying amazing views of the ocean. However, it is recommended to only those who have no heavy luggage. I did walk on the beach from the hotel to the airport runway to enjoy watching the airplane landing and it took me only 40 minutes or so. Overall, Holiday Inn Express Kuta Bali Square should yield one of the best places to stay if you are traveling this area. Everything from currency exchanges to Starbucks is within walking distance and friendly staff in the hotel is always happy to assist your stay without any hesitation.

Conrad Bali
Conrad Bali is probably one of the finest hotels to choose from hundreds of hotels available in town while its location is quiet or silent, where you are likely to stay within the property from check-in to until your departure. The term, “quiet,” means this five-star hotel is located in Nusa Dua area, where world-leading resort hotels are settled to welcome wealthy global tourists to enjoy finest summer vacation. That said, there are very little stores available around the hotel and you are not going to expect any adventures out side the property.
The finest part of Conrad Bali is, everyone who has visited should agree, the lagoon pool that spreads across the hotel property. You will not get bored even you stay by the poolside from the morning to evening. From the poolside, you can also enjoy a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean as well as the eye-relaxing garden views throughout Conrad territory. It is also highly recommended that you book an ocean or partial ocean view room to enjoy another fantastic views from your room throughout your stay.

This Conrad is not new but the room is well maintained and clean. Bathroom is spacious and clean as well. Problem of being at this property is that you may have to depend on pricier hotel restaurants as well as room services to fill your stomach. However, Conrad Bali offers complimentary shuttle bus services operated by third parties to Bali Collection and Duty Free shopping mall. If you are to stay at Conrad Bali for multiple days, you may want to hop on a shuttle bus to the former place, an outdoor shopping mall, which offers variety of international restaurants and Starbucks.
(L) Very spacious Ocean View Room with balcony. As always, Conrad's bed is very comfy. (R) Several restaurants are available on site, where you may have to depend on from breakfast to dinner.
If you are seeking an adventure, you can walk along the beach all the way down to Bali Collection while you can take a rest at other five-star hotels, such as Westin, on the way. Like Conrad, you will receive a cold bottle of water if you sit back and relax at a poolside even you are not a Westin guest. It takes approximately or up to 2 hours to get to Bali Collection depending on how fast or slow you walk and how often you take a rest. When you get to Westin, you may start asking the direction to Bali Collection because you will have to find a local street to access to the entrance. Just a reminder that you may want to leave Conrad by 3pm in order to get to Bali Collection well before the sun set. For return, you can take a complimentary shuttle bus back to Conrad. It takes only five minutes or so. Ask the shuttle bus schedule at Conrad Concierge desk.
(L) You can walk all the way down to Bali Collection via other luxury hotel chains, such as Westin, along the way while you can grab a bottle of cold water. (R) Bali Collection is an outside shopping mall, where you can enjoy a variety of food selections as well as Starbucks.
Again, Conrad Bali is one of the finest hotels in Bali Island and it will certainly make your stay pleasant and private. You may feel never want to leave this amazing property once you step in. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy Conrad Bali.
